Background of the Spirit of Enniskillen Trust

Twelve people died and many more were injured as a result of the the bomb in Enniskillen on Remembrance Sunday 1987. It could have provoked a response of anger and revenge; instead what emerged was an atmosphere of forgiveness and reconciliation - the true Spirit of Enniskillen. In a deeply divided society, the Trust pays tribute to this through working to encourage dialogue and greater understanding between all social, cultural and religious traditions.
